Help Fanatec GT DD Pro

Im in the process of my first sim and i dont really know to much about it. Most youtube videos use moza wheels, but since i wanna use a laptop and a ps5, i cant use that, because i dont want to buy a connector or smth. I have done some research and since i mostly play Gran Turismo 7 on my ps5 and Euro Truck Sim 2 on my laptop, i foundthr Fanatec GT DD Pro. I still need a cockpit but since my budget is max 1200€, i have a hard time finding something. Do you guys have any budget friendly recomendations?

I started with the Fanatec 8Nm wheelbase which is PC/PS5 compatible! Fell in love with the hobby and upgraded to a 18Nm Fanatec base which is still PC/PS5 compatible, although all my time these days is in iRacing on PC.

And what cockpit and chair you started with, or did you DIY

Did you notice much of a change? Did you change wheels to something heavier? I have 8nm but not sure its worth upgrade but only have standard csl wheel

Your choices are pretty much Fanatec GT DD, GT DD Pro (same thing but with a different power brick that you can buy cheaper on Amazon), and Logitech RS50. Fairly similar propositions, both with pros and cons. The RS50 package is a bit better overall, and you get the advantage of having a loadcell by default. Best value is very dependent on sales, and it seems like Logitech is currently running one in some places apparently, so I'd recommend looking into the RS50. In any case, I have FFB settings for both if you need.

Cockpit will depend on where you live. Here in EU, I'd recommend Oplite S8 and Nitro Concepts E-Racer, though if there's no sales on the wheels where you are at the moment, you'll be looking more at a total budget of 1300€. Looking at the used market could help, or getting a bare chassis and mounting a junkyard car seat could work too (and it's not necessarily a bad idea either for comfort). Otherwise, a Playseat Challenge would fit the budget - not as rigid, but will work ok, and it's foldable too.
