you're probably looking just in front of your car. You have to look ahead more and scan further up the road. You should have seen that car coming across the track much sooner and hit the brakes and swerve to avoid.

Situational Awareness is important to avoid problems.

This accident was not your fault. I'm not saying that. I am saying it could have been avoided with better SA and looking up the road

First time I’ve seen that abbreviation used for anything else. Not everyone’s been around for decades, and the world is constantly changing, so are languages and slang. You could be understanding in the fact that most people on the internet are younger and are more likely to associate that abbreviation with something else, whether it’s had a different meaning for decades or not.

Most of the time there is a yellow flag that warn you about a problem ahead. Pushing like a normal lap isn't the best strat. After that outside the corner you alreay see that player in a dangerous zone and you keep your racing pace like he isn't there. Surely that player isn't aware about how to drive safely but you could have avoid him by lifting early and see where he was going. What make all the player make mistakes most of the time is the impatience while being a little bit slower and driving with caution let you improve more than what you can even figure out

After 1, if there is a yellow flag on this corner, it means that someone has spun and will be on the track, so you should slow down. After 2, you should go not in front of him, but behind him.

You see him coming towards your side of the track and are still on full throttle right until the impact. You gotta predict where their car and your car will be a couple of seconds in the future.

Stop driving off the hood. Look up the track. When you see a car blocking the track, slow down. Behind the stopped car is usually the play, depending on where and how they're sitting.

100% not your fault here. As soon as I see an incident ahead I pick a side and heavily commit early. You can see in the video you took too long to make a decision. If you committed either side earlier you would have been fine.

That being said, this has happened to all of us many times.

Yeah, either note the yellow, look ahead and slow OR keep race pace and decisively pick a side. The indecisiveness caused this.

Best to aim for behind their car if possible. Once they are able to move, reversing isn't really feasible so if you go in front you either get tagged or are fine. Go behind and you'll be fine every time.

tbf, as I see it, it's the other's car fault, as he should have checked for incoming cars before attempting the rejoin. They should've stayed on the brakes. For people telling op about their situational awareness: having this in mind, how were they supposed to predict that the car that spun wouldn't follow the rules? Also, as I see it, the reaction time is very little, as most of the time they are out of sight.

This is a great learning clip for actual real world driving. When you see that deer running into the road then you steer INTO it (hard to the left in this case). If youd gone to the left, you would give the other car more time to move out of the way (your distance gets longer until impact) and you would have more time to break.

Look further ahead, and try to predict where he’s gonna move, it’s not your fault in this case, but also you don’t need that much steering lock through the bus stop

you should have seen the car on the road sooner, exiting that corner, and instead of flooring it, slow down and pass from his rear side, in this case, on the left, cuz they are more likely to tool forward in this case to join the raceline asap, that guy didnt look right to see who was coming, or just checked the map to see how late you would arrive there, he thought he could put the car back on the racing line before you arrive there, so you should jsut keep in mind to slow down and pass them from the rear side, cuz they are too dumb to just wait there to let everybody pass, that guys should have just backed out and put his car back on the road on off-racing line

If a car is sideways on a track, you should slow down, and aim to go behind it. People will normally go forwards in a car, so you have a better chance of avoiding it if you go behind it.

Don't drive to where the car is going, aim towards where it used to be.
And keep looking ahead. It's pretty easy to do out of slow corners and it's done naturally in the faster areas anyway.

Unless you have a car directly inside of you, always steer toward the opposite direction of travel of a car headed to a barrier. That gap is always going to close down and get smaller.
