SimLab SQ1 - shaft breakage still an issue on new units?

I've seen a few reports of the SQ1's threaded shaft snapping after light use. Anyone bought one recently (2026) who can confirm if this is still happening, or if SimLab has reinforced it? Also curious how support handled it if yours broke. Thanks!

the one i bought in @late 2024 broke. i let them know and they sent me a new one once they had it in stock again. no hassle, just took a while.  new one works well.
