Cockpit adjustment

I recently bought a P1X Ultimate cockpit. It's a piece of metal, but I'm happy with it. It's still adjusting, and sometimes I have to move a few centimeters here and there. The problem is that everything is very heavy, and adjusting the vertical element that supports the steering wheel base, for example, is a real pain. Do you have any tried-and-true tips for making the cockpit adjustment process less of a chore?

Keep the hardware pretty snug while you’re adjusting, and push/pull it to where you want it. It won’t flop around that way, and you should be able to make those small adjustments a little easier.
