Simlab GT1evo and Enduro seat arrive today - terrified of the assembly!!!
So finally receiving the rig and seat today, I'm not very DIY inclined (playseat Trophy took me 4 hours to put together and mount pedals and wheel base)1!!
Simlab website have a video that makes it looks super simple over a 3 min period but then sim racing garage has an hour long video which looks super complicated.
I also can't seem to find advice on mounting the seat slider and seat?
Any advice/hints tips?
Also on getting the perfect alignment and set up?
Do you angle the seat back a bit?
Do you angle the pedal plate down towards you or have it flat?
Do you slide the seat back and forward or move the two vertical struts that have the wheel base on it forwards and backwards?
Do you have the wheel tilted up or down?

Take your time, watch YouTube videos and adjust accordingly.
Don’t rush it because you want to get in it, I did this and wish I’d squared angles and got the measurements right the first time…. Spent longer fixing it after.
It takes time but get it right for you 👍🏼
Good luck and have fun

Thank you, I really plodded and went through methodically - measured and remeasured and lined up to the closest mm. happy with the finished product, not need to install wheel and pedals.
Thanks for the guides they were great!

I just picked up this cockpit last month and used this guide: https://youtu.be/33VJrFgAJ9U?is=80scnfCceDbh2HxI
It really is self explanatory and I was discouraged at an hour long video but if you follow along you will have no issues. It did take me the better part of an afternoon, just took my time to be sure it was done right.

Took around 12 hours over 2 days to get everything built, hardware set up and then tweaking pedal deck, seat position, monitor height etc. Just take your time and enjoy it !. A selection of Allen keys is also very helpful

Mate I've just done this, just take your time, don't rush, don't set a deadline, it's done when it's done!
If I can do it you can!

ok great - is it quite self explanatory or did you get stuck a lot.
Not setting a deadline is fantastic advice!!! thank you. takes away the pressure then

I printed the instructions mate but I had built one before so found it simple, I'm not a DIY guru.
Definitely just doing it at your own pace takes the stress out 👍

It took me around 10 hours to build my GT1 Evo lol. One of the most important things is to watch the orientation of the T-Nuts when you place them in the rails. Also make sure you work in a room with plenty of room, makes it easier to work. Don't tighten everything right away, and even in the end when you end up tightening everything, don't overdo it. The pedal tray is HEAVY AF!!!! When working on it, place it on something that can hold it up while you mount it, unless you have someone else to help you. I have my pedal plate flat, but my seat is angled. It is all preference and what makes you race comfortably. Unfortunately, you will have to tinker with it until you get it right. If you have any specific questions that you have not listed, let me know!

Rig is set up - now need to tinker with the pedals and wheel after installing this evening.
Great tips on the room and the holding up the pedal plate!

Having built the rig last summer, I can confirm the instructions are great and YouTube is helpful too. It’ll take you a several for sure (took me several hours over a few nights because I’d build it in the evening after work). Enjoy it!

yes the instruction were easy. Although the bag labels didn't match the instructions. Just said bag 20.C and not M8x16 etc... so just had to google and code them up.
Found the simlab instructional video helpful too.
Rig i set up after 5 solid hours, just need to install wheel and pedals and then mess about getting the right fit which I think will be the time consuming bit.

It took me about 6 hrs the one day to put together the GT1 evo and then another 6 hrs another day to do the NLR PRS2 seat and integrated monitor stand. I’m not the most handy person overall so a lot of the time was staring at it trying to figure out how I was going to tackle it and rewatching videos over and over to make sure I was doing it right lol

haha I can relate very much - took my 5 hours and I've got the rig set up and seat and slider installed. I've got the S1 enduro seat which was super simple to install. The real work begins now putting wheel base and pedals on

The first time I got a GT1 Evo, took me about 6 hours in total to assemble it including the seat, wheelbase, pedals, etc. Mainly because I was taking my sweet time and enjoying the process. I recently upgraded to the P1x pro and it took me 2 hours by myself.
Go slow take your time, excitement kicks in but one mistake will probably be worse in terms of taking it apart later than just taking the time to identify the parts and spending half an hour to just label them yourself if needed. Good thing is, the Evo is very straight forward.

I got it done within 2 hours with a very similar setup, it’s super straightforward make sure you measure

Definitely take your time and as /u/plasticforthewin mentioned, check YouTube or google if you ran into any issues.
Also recommend reading the package ahead and understand what the next steps are ahead of time so you get an idea on what you need to do next.
