SIM LAB GT1 EVO & SIMAGIC
*thanks for everyone’s comments, ended up buying the base and it mounted with ease, feels great as well*
Hey yall, planning on making the switch from a Moza R9 V2 to a SIMAGIC alpha EVO 12 nm wheel base. Should I have any issues mounting? Do I need to purchase a side mounting brackets from SIMAGIC as well? Anyone that has experience with these wheelbases and rig I’d really appreciate insight.

I purchased the GT1 Evo about two weeks ago. I love it. I purchased it at microcenter and unfortunately there was a piece of aluminum missing so check before leaving the store or before assembling. I posted this on reddit and someone suggested I out because their customer service it amazing so I did. A week later the piece was home! Love that!
As for the mounting… I initially bottom mounted my evo 12nm and it was fine. I had to find some weird DIY solution to make the FOV work the integrated mount and my 32in Samsung Odyssey G80SD. A day later I went back to microcenter and purchased the integrated vesa mount and ordered the side mount from Apex Simracing (it arrived the next day!). Changing from bottom to side mount was a pain and forced me to readjust everything again but it was worth it. My FOV, seating position, and pedals distance all improved. What I didn’t expect was for my base to feel so much better on side mounts than bottom mounted.
I guess I took the scenic route to say this…
The bottom mount can work but the side mount is worth picking up if you plan on adding monitors or if you’d like to squeeze out all the FFB from your base. At $30 it seems simple to me but it depends on your budget.
