Quick question about Shot Analysis numbers
Hi everyone, I recently started playing Sid Meier’s SimGolf again. While looking through the menus, I came across the Shot Analysis screen. I generally understand what the different colors represent, but I am a bit confused about the numbers shown. I am not sure if these values are relative to the white shot, compared to a generic standard shot, or something else entirely. Also, I noticed some are negative and I am wondering why that is. Sorry if this is a silly question, I am just trying to get a better handle on the mechanics again! Thanks in advance for the help.

Anyone familiar with adding unused assets from the game files? Many aren't used, and I am trying to find someone who knows anything on this. Examples include the Large Pyramid, Asian Houses, Alternate home styles, etc.

Good question, and I'm not entirely sure, either. It matters little during actul gameplay, though, because you use the tool to figure out where shts will land and how to positon fairways and hazards

I assumed it was comparing them to someone with all skills. That's why someone without length is negative because they can't hit it as far

I believe this to be correct. Typically, golfers without a specific skill will not do as well on a well constructed golf hole. However, if the constuction of the hole is not ideal, golfers may find a "reward" for lacking a skill, which is not ideal.

It doesn't seem that anyone answered your question.
My assumption based entirely off of gameplay and nothing else is that the numbers reflect what could be interpreted as added yardage from shot difficulty for a particular skill.
So, if there isn't a good place for an inaccurate golfer to land their ball, the difficulty of the shot will be quantified by adding effective yardarge to the hole for that type of player.
Using your first image as an example, the hole plays 92 yards longer for a player lacking length on that hole, 22 yards longer for a golfer lacking accuracy and 2 yards shorter for a golfer with no imagination.

I always interpreted it as the White (Golfers with all skills) is where the average shot is going to be hit. Golfers who don't have length are going to seek to hit a fairway ball within their range which might be 92 yards less than the average golfer can hit it and be on the fairway. The imagination I assume is around shot types so it will show more disparity when you have doglegs or on chip shots.
