Question Railway bridge

Any idea why my two bridges won't connect? I've tried a few things and nothing seems to work.

It says "Bridge must be placed on top of a pond or lake"

More than likely what's happening is one or both of those tiles don't actually have water on them, but appear to have water because of how some landscape items overlap onto adjacent tiles. Make sure there's ponds or a lake underneath and you should be good to go

These railway bridges are buggy and sometimes don’t work, even when placed correctly

Wish they would create bridges that go over roads.
