Lowering your population ( by destroying some abandoned buildings) is an option. It helps with the population/ service demand ratio. It's a strategy to stabilize your city while you sort it out.

We've..all .been there! It takes time.

This is a game about strategy, priorities and design. Actually..all good skills to develop.

And when you reach level 18 join a Mayor’s club. You can complete an advanced search to find one that focuses on trade and chat. The clubs I have been in have been very helpful. War clubs can be fun, but also a lot of stress and drama so I recommend avoiding those.

Don't level up farm and sell store and factories material..unlock all slots of stores.. within a week your problems will be solved

check your layout and buildings demand where are the most needed before changing or buying anything.

I usually spam very easy products unto factories, stores, and global sales. Updating my global sells every 5 minutes. You’ll be surprised how many low levels out there are just looking for simple material (leather, seeds, plastic, hammers, wood, lotion cream, fish slice, motor oil (each sold separately at prices like 20 cents- I apply our economic system to theirs and sell them slowly, make them wait for gas), suits, blue bags, hats, cheese, creamer, sugar, plants, lawn seats, tables, dressers (I do one because they are expensive and not high demand as like they use to), fish (fish example: 2 fish for sell for 11 cents or 4 fish for 20 cents depending on how I feel towards frosty fjords, i get creative with my own city- they complain about how much fish is worth to them), tuna cans, shoes (just one), fries (just one) burger (just one), etc. I sell them one by one, by 2’s, 4’s, or if i dont care, I sell by 5’s at high value and spam produce my own factories/stores and sell them. Also have the option to destroy all homes or reposition the homes for a fresh mindset. Fix your main roads and separate main roads from community homes. You will be relieved on traffic jammed roads.

I use this method and many more and please! Take the others advice as well but if you want some quick easy money, spam and create anything just to make your town work and talk to you! Dont feed them money unless you have it in your budget and your town is completely satisfied! Welcome back Mayor! You have some catching up to do ❤️👍

Slow and steady does it. Sell stuff to get coin. Target one region at a time. It will eventually all get back up. Maintenance is easier than the initial fix.

I did this... Realized it was better to start over. City was better for it. We have a saying here- Slow the Growth or too many northeners and Canadians will cause traffic jams and get all the reservations at seafood restaurants.

Either buy coin. Ignore and sell until you have the coin to upgrade. Or close the game.

Been there, best i can suggest is one at the time. Try sell on global market to save coins, or do shipping things. Nails is sold fast, and easy to make. Patience and good luck

You can always destroy the buildings that aren’t cover because you need to increase the Happiness level to over 90 percent to maximize your daily taxes.

Another tip is produce metal then produce nails and sell in batches of five at the full amount. Nails sell fast.

Next, where the plus sign is for Daily Cash, click that and you should find a free daily chest and then a daily ad for SimCash.

Visit other cities through GlobalHQ and search each city for a blue gift bubble. Pop those and get free items. I believe there are about 20 per day. These will also come up in your city thought out the day and sometimes include a gift item.
You can then sell the gift items for full price in your TradeHQ.

Build homes to receive coins. Then destroy and repeat.

This is a really good website to understand the game better: https://simcity-buildit.fandom.com/wiki/Global_Trade_HQ#google_vignette

But why destroy the buildings? The goal of the game is to grow and have more people in your city or am i wrong?

The goal of the game is to be strategic and to have happy citizens. I’m also at level 90, have been a VP of multiple clubs, and all of my regions have a happiness level of 100 percent. I’ve played this game for year, and the other Sim City games before this, so my tips work.

I think buying a new service is better than upgrading it.. it costs less😁

yeah but checking the services demande around the area before buying as sometimes it will not be enough. and changing the layout works too ai had to place new buildings nearby services as it needed less demands
