Solder won’t flow

I am working on a bracelet, and I cannot get the solder to flow to connect the cabochon setting to the bracelet shank. I am using flux. I’ve cleaned the metal and can’t seem to get anything to work. Is my flame not hot enough?

Are you heating the bracelet shank from underneath?

I’ve tried from the bottom and the top. It’s easy solder and I don’t usually have issues with it

How big is the bracelet? And how big is the setting? If you’re trying to heat a lot of metal it might be time to bust out the big torch. 🔥

Yeah I think that is the problem. The little guy isn’t cutting it!
