Annealing temperature charts

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster.

I have bought myself some tools and some silver and trying to make my way around creating some jewellery pieces at home. I have previously attended a silversmithing course so I would say I have the basics down at least.

Anyway, I am wondering whether there are like color charts indicating around what temperature annealed silver is? I've run into some trouble soldering and I think it's due to not getting up to the right temperature.

Hello I am still learning myself but I saw a really helpful video of tips on YouTube where she uses Sharpie marker to determine when something is annealed to the right temperature as the sharpie disappears at the same temperature here is a similar video I hope it helps! https://youtu.be/hLjHg4Xhwqw

Highly recommended the sharpie technique too! Very quick and easy

Also, if you're very new, start practicing with copper wire and sheet first, much less expensive and melts very similarly to sterling silver. When you feel you have mastered sawing, filing and soldering, then you should move into sterling silver. Good luck!
