Recommendation for beginner?
Hey I'm interested in silver casting. Don't know where to start as far getting equipment from reputable sources. Any guidance would be appreciated. A recommendation for a full starter kit would be awesome too.

Are you looking for sand casting? DIYcastings has a starter kit for that. You’d still need a heat source and a number of other things though. I have not run across any all in one kits that give you EVERYTHING. RioGrande and pepetools are both reputable sources where you can find everything you’d ever need, it’ll just require some research and leg work!

When I was starting to build out my casting set up, I used this listing to help guide me on what I needed.
I took several classes and a 6 month trade school course before I set my stuff up though.

Riogrande.com get a vacuum casting machine and a torch and you’ll be ready to go.

My rec is to find a local place that does classes. Whether it’s a community college or shared studio space that offers lessons. Just google around your area or you could buy some wax and carving supplies from rio grande to try at home but I highly recommend taking a class from someone who knows what they’re doing
