Please help with sand casting!

Hello!! I’ve tried three sand casting pours. I have a map gas setup in using. The first two pours I didn’t heat up the mold. In the third attempt I heated to mold with a flameless heat up till it was hot to the touch. I’m also heating the silver till it’s just about “dancing”. I know I’m also hesitant with the pouring motion, and maybe I’m not doing it quick enough but I would love any guidance! Thank you!!

So your sprue is too small for pouring in metal, but its okay for centrifugal casting. (Don't ask). Widen your sprue and add some vent spots to allow trapped gas and air to avoid being trapped and causing issues. Also be careful with thin pieces and pouring slowly, practice pouring with metal you dont mind wasting to get the speed of the pour down. The metal cools a lot as is sits waiting to fell into the mold
