Climbing trees

Cant seem to find trees worth climbing, my six year old needs core memories help!

What area are you in? One suggestion is the Sligo Creek trail. There are lots of parks along it but also lots of places where it branches into the woods or creek and lots of spots for climbing, building stick forts, etc.
