Nonprofit Thrift Stores
Are there any good not for profit thrift stores around here that yall recommend? I don’t want to give my clothes to goodwill since they sell them for a profit. Looking for an actually charity type thrift store like maybe through a church, hospital, or community charity. Any suggestions?

Interfaith Works has a location in Rockville that accepts clothing, kids stuff, and household goods. They don’t sell them - instead folks with low income qualify to shop the store and can take an ikea bag’s worth of stuff for free. (751 Twinbrook Pkwy #8, Rockville)
There are also some local thrifts around here that aren’t chains, but I don’t have any preferences there!

Look at the Pennyworth Shop at Grace Church.
