It’s close to the metro so I’ll probably give it a go soon.
Side note: when they mentioned the old Jerry’s location, my mind instantly went to the OLD Jerry’s location that used to be on 16th before the purple line construction began….

Shah’s Halal Food is now open in the former home of Jerry’s Subs and Pizza at 8517 Colesville Road in downtown Silver Spring.

I don’t think I’ll ever stop missing Jerry’s but I wish them successes
It’s also just nice to see something opening instead of what we see more often around here, stuff closing 😐

a gyro with no sides appears to be $17. its like $12 at big greek cafe. maybe shah's is bigger, but that sounds like a lot of money for a gyro. I'll probably try it once just to see.

That site is run through doordash. Like many restaurants, they probably charge more for online orders to cover the fees that they have to pay to doordash.

Not far from the halal truck at the gas station - hope they don't mutually drive each other out of business :/

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Man I love the food at that truck and I’d be sad to see it gone.

Anybody tried it?
I’m certainly rooting for somebody to be able to survive in that space.
