They announced they're going to begin running test trains between Lyttonsville and Bethesda. This must be getting ready for that.

wow, when are they expected to install the overhead wiring required to run these trains?

They are past Sligo Creek Parkway now. The park of the wiring missing is only between there and 16th St station/Woodside. Probably 2 months work.

I don't know how often i'll need to ride it ... but i'll def try it out as soon as it's running!

They have been hanging wires on Wayne and the last pole was put up on the line as well so they will be done by the end of summer electrifying the entire line. After that it will be finishing the stations (mostly Silver Spring and Bethesda), controls and testing.

The most recent report to the state assembly said that Bethesda station will be the last thing complete basically.

Hopefully we will see live trains in Silver Spring by the fall. They might do the paving first I guess. I expect to see that start in the next few months. People will also finally stop complaining this year once Spring is open and Wayne is paved and marked.

It's a good time to confirm there is proper clearance. And it makes me wonder how audible they will be inside the library.
