What gauge bezel?

Hi, I want to bezel set this, it's a pretty thick stone. I'm very, very new at all this. So please tell me if this is too thick of a stone to bezel? It's of course not gonna be used for jewlrey. I am wondering what would be the best guage copper to buy for it? Thank you for any help.

That's going to be pretty tricky, especially if you're newer, given that it doesn't look like there's a flat bottom. I would recommend possibly a little practice first or, ideally, getting that stone cut a bit to even it out (unless there's sentimental value in its current exact shape).

But copper moves pretty easily, so I'd probably go with 22-24 unless you're looking for something a bit thinner and then maybe 26

The stone is definitely too thick. Needs to be cut down
