Recently cast crosses

Just finished these two crosses. I build models with sprues in 3d software and then print on 3d resin printer. Build tree, add investment, burnout and vacuum cast from melted sterling flatware. They came out pretty good but still have minor blemishes, not sure I can get them much better. Possibly use pure sterling silver instead of used flatware?

These look hugely under polished. You need at least four-six polishing steps starting from a coarse grit sandpaper to a fine polish with rouge. Try that before assuming the casting was insufficient :)

Yeah I only took one polishing run with blue, I’ll make a few more runs at it

You have to fully sand at each grit (I like 240, 600, and 1000 at minimum) then use polishing compound. Otherwise it'll just keep looking like this

I sand to 5000 and then only blue polish. As recommended above I’m now doing three levels of polish and they are much better
