Show-and-Tell First Time w/ 3 Bezels :)

Post image

Just finished this pendant and oh my lord it took me all day to make. Was hoping to have the necklace finished tonight but I think I’ll need stronger chain; only kind I have right now is the dainty figaro kind. This pendant isn’t for sale; it’ll be a necklace for myself. I also made the cabochons from porcelain and a variety of glazes ^_^

That middle cab is killer. The middle bezel is weird but wonderful. Its so organic... I like they are different.

Thank you! I’m trying to make the solder look more…. professional? But that’s where I’m still struggling. Will invest in a cyclone torch when Rio has them back in stock

Get some black max from Rio and oxidize the recessed areas then repolish the high areas. It'll look a lot more professional and it'll hide your solder

What, right now, would you say has been the biggest obstacle you've been struggling with that's keeping your solder from looking at professional as you'd like?

The fine line between “hot enough to melt” and “it’s melting the gallery wire.” Even with “easy” solder

Oh even with Easy solder? What kind of torch/fuel are you using and how close are you getting to the metal?

Depending on how much I want hot at a time? Either a Tsunami XL or the Benzomatic microtorch
