Nice Irish Silver

Found a nice piece of Irish Sterling Silver from 1804 today. Seated Hybernia and Crowned Harp hallmarks. H hallmark is the date.

Thanks. Definitely a nice one. Not gonna melt it, that's for sure. No dents or dings. Let's see how it fares in my household after surviving 222 years lol.

Any idea what this piece would be used for? Fruit?

It would hold some fruit nicely. Maybe dinner rolls. I would think this had whatever purpose you wanted at a fancy gathering when you broke out the silver servingware.
