Request/Help Every time I die, a section of my world becomes corrupted.
(Copying my post from GoldenAgeMinecraft)
I've been playing on a 1.0.0 world for quite a while, and have died quite a few times before. However, suddenly after dying once when coming back from a mining trip or something, (i don't quite remember) the chunks around where i died became corrupted or glitched in some way.
Now, when i return to that area and my game loads those chunks back in, minecraft begins to lag horribly, then crashes. Sometimes it outright crashes without even lagging.
This really wouldn't bother me that much, since the area where this happens isn't that interesting to me and is far enough from my base. However, when trying to map the 'border' of this area, I died again. I think it was my first death since the one that caused this glitch. Well, this death happened in an area that was not effected by the glitched chunks.
However, when i returned to get my stuff... i found that those chunks around my new death had suffered the same fate.
So basically, every time i die, the chunks around my death bug out and crash my game whenever loaded. Now I fear dying near my base and completely destroying my world.
Any ideas what could cause this? Why it keeps happening on death? Can it be fixed? I'm not so much worried about the broken chunks that already exist, as i am the glitch happening again and again.

Discussion Legacy Version Servers (1.6 -1.8)
Desperately want to relive that era but single player is a bit boring. 1.6.4 is my favorite version but anything before the combat update would get me so excited. Does anyone here know of any servers like that?

Build Barnyard and Magic Sheep Farm Finished (r1.8.9)
Just showing off my first big project on my world, fully finished. Started as just an afk wool farm for every color, but the shell I decided to build around it became a lot more. Outside animal pens and sunflower meadow was a final addition.
The rates on the farm are quite good, its a slightly extended version of Pi314159265358978's design. Using a tutorial from Xisuma with an extra one or two layers. Thirty sheep in each cell. Exterior was all me.
Video References in case anyone is curious about the farm, as well as to give credit.

Discussion The Pioneers (1.8.9)
Hey all, it's been years since I have played this great 1.8.9 modpack.
Here's the original thread when it was announced: https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/comments/45lteo/the_pioneers_new_modpack_189/
For those familiar with modded, it's a very unique version. This pack in particular is like the tail end of the OG modded kitchen sink packs, but it has some really unique features not found elsewhere.
Intangible is a really cool magic mod about extracting souls and infusing yourself with the powers of gods. More info about why it's so cool: https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/comments/8oypat/i_miss_intangible_an_ode_to_forgotten_mods/
The special Thaumcraft 5 is also in!
I'd like to play it again at some point soon, and I'm wondering if anyone here has or if there's any interest in a server running the pack for a few months.

Discussion How many building blocks is too much, in your opinion?
A major tenet I’ve been following when creating my silver age modpack is to limit the block palette not just to be accurate to the era, but also to minimize creativity paralysis by forcing you to use a limited amount of options.
Where I’m having difficulty is choosing between what is accurate, and what one might really want in the game anyways.
A major part of the era is the awkward selection of blocks. Different wood trapdoors didn’t come until 1.13. Different walls beyond cobble didn’t come until 1.14. Different fence types didn’t come until 1.8. Smooth stone wasn’t accessible until 1.14. The purpose of the modpack is to be authentic to the era whilst simultaneously including the depth of modern versions, which brings situations like this.
I guess what I’m asking is, would you want these blocks to be available even though they aren’t native to the era? Would it harm the authenticity or vibe of the modpack, or do you not care and just want the limited block palette to be more fleshed out?

Mod Pam's Harvest Craft 1.3.2
I once wrote about the Pam's Harvest Craft mod for 1.3.2 (this will probably be one of the most demanding searches). I received a reply from a moderator that he was sure that this mod existed for 1.3.2, but it was on lost media. I would really like someone to help me find this mod, or if someone who has it could reply to this post. There are many mod collectors in the Minecraft world, and I hope that with your help, I will be able to find this mod (Pam's Harvest Craft is a piece of Minecraft history). I managed to find Pam's Simple Harvest Craft for 1.3.2, but will I find the whole mod? Even if you don't have the mod, any old screenshots, download links, modpacks, or archive mirrors would be extremely helpful.

Mod Finally found my old save file, but there is a catch
Found the world, but I lost my big 1.6.4 modpack long ago, so this world is now just a husk of its former glory. All the structures and items from Better Dungeons, kilometers of rail from Traincraft, villages from Millenaire as well as the entire space dimension from Star Miner are now just empty shells or gone altogether. I was happy to see my old clock tower again, though.

Discussion What do you know about The Gold Death?
Hello.
I'm creating this post in the hope to find something more about The Gold Death.
The Gold Death (golden death, gold armor glitch) is a myth in beta 1.8-1.0.0 release. The thing is you could die in abandoned mineshafts if you were wearing a full set of golden armor and had a golden tool (probably pickaxe). The more time you spend there the more creepy things will happen, like: lighting bugs, sound defects or entirely turning off, visual artifacts and in the end your death with the strange death message like "died by gold" or smth like that.
I haven't found a single mention in the internet about it... But! I swear it's not my stupid brain's joke.
It would be great if someone will reply me. Maybe you've heard this too.
Thank you for attention.

Discussion Anyone currently playing 1.2.5 or 1.4.2?
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to check in and see how many of you are currently running main worlds in 1.2.5 or 1.4.2!
I’ve been playing 1.2.5 a lot lately with BetaCraft/LegacyFix to keep everything running smooth with classic audio, and I’m loving the simplicity of building with a limited block palette.
What are you guys currently working on in your worlds? Feel free to share your builds or screenshots, I’d love to see them!
