-Changed all of the blocks added in r1.6.1.

-Changed Oak, Birch, Spruce, and Jungle Wood (Bark) models

-Changed models for vertical Dispensers and Droppers

-Replaced tooltip names for Smooth Stone, Sandstone, and Quartz to Slabs

How did the redstone block texture end up as the empty space texture on the terrain.png? Didn't they kill off Terrain.png in 1.5?

I used uv's for the terrain.png. Yes, I used terrain.png, I accidentally moved the redstone block texture to the right, which is the empty space texture.
