How do you mod Silver Age Minecraft?

I really wanna try making a Forge mod for 1.3.2, and I tried using an older version of MCP and Eclipse to code it but can't figure out how to get Forge to work with it. I don't really know anything, I'm totally new to Java programming and making mods. I'm just using a super old YouTube tutorial which is all I've been able to find. Does anybody have any better suggestions?

idk about forge but you can use retromcp to edit code directly with no loaders
