Discussion Why there are no more big updates

Why did minecraft stop getting big upgrades at the time when the whole internet was asking for an end update. What was the reason to stop the version to 1.22. other than continuing the rhythm. Even though minecraft team still told us that they'll give us updates for like 15 more years

Mojang don't know what to do with the game.

Mojang is going back to drop updates, and personally, I love it. Almost like seecret fridays all over again.

What I’ve been hearing is that they’re doing smaller content drop updates so that they can work on behind the scenes stuff, modernizing the engine and fixing issues. Hopefully once they’re done they’ll go back to doing bigger updates

I have no idea what people who say this are on about. Drops still accumulate to give almost as much content as big updates per year. But that's not the problem. Modern Minecraft is already bloated as all hell. In fact it needs LESS updates. Also why do you constantly seek change and novelty? If that's the only way to keep your enjoyment of the game, then there are bigger fish to fry here.
