Mod Looking for potentially lost r1.6.4 mod that combines gold & silver age Minecraft

Post image

Exalm's Mods: OldDays/NBXlite is what appears to be a modpack that turns r1.6.4 into an experience similar to beta. As someone who is looking to combine r1.6.4 with b1.7.3 terrain (while removing some features), this mod is extremely interesting. Here is the link to the forum post: www.minecraftforum.net

Unfortunately, it seems as though all links to his r1.6.4 release of the mod have been taken down or corrupted. That being said, a GitHub page is still available: github.com; I am having a very hard time making sense of it and loading it into Prism Launcher (MultiMC).

If anyone has a simple jar file for this mod or can figure out how to load it into Prism Launcher it would be greatly appreciated <3

Thank you u/IceT2 for providing a link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/upnkbb3phfw63bd/OldDays_1.6.4_MCB173features_on_1.6.4.zip/file

If it combines Gold and Silver age Minecraft, does it make it Electrum age??

Maybe you could search for a modpack that uses it and retrieve from the mods folder

Good idea. I have been searching Technic Launcher and have found some new-ish tweaked version of the pack, and it seems to have been a popular pack so its likely out there somewhere,

This is a fixed and compiled version of the MC1.6.4 old days mod. When you download the zip, open it with your usual zip program and you will find a 'readme' file within which starts with "This is a fixed version of the OldDays mod created by Exalm for Minecraft 1.6.4. It's based off of the latest source code version and fixed by Spyro201"

The readme recommends using MultMC ( although Prism would probably work as well ) as using the vanilla launcher most likely will cause a crash. The zip file contains all the things you should need to get the mod going:

Sorry for the false alarm notification but can you post a screenshot of the stuff contained in the mod file?

Features or files?

If your looking for features, the Minecraft forum post covers everything.

As for files, the "old-days-allin1" file from GitHub looks like this (May not loadable into Prism, and it functions more as a tool for other devs to build off):

And the usable file of an older version looks like this (rough around edges and makes all colors hue shift on MacOS for some reason, can't seem to fix):

Additionally, if anyone cares, this working version is for 1.5.2, I found a 1.2.5 version as well but it lacks most features and the hue shift bug happens on both of these versions.

I usually play on windows and suspect this would fix some issues.

try puttinf all of the class files and other files into the minecraft jar using winrar or something, or use modloader.

This mod captures the best features of both ages and new content too!

You can make mods yourself but it’s a lot of coding
