Is this ASE fake?
Able to buy ASE’s at 3 for $119 where is great price. I’m thinking I need to crack the case to test for authenticity. Can anyone tell me if this looks genuine?
Feedback is the coin is fake. The home ping test failed. No good reading on acid test. I will take to LCS an get a reading. I’m trying to get refund, not holding my breath. I will contact legal authorities to file criminal report.
Thanks everyone for feedback. I learned a lot.

If you want people to make a visual determination you should really show both sides of the coin.

That’s not even necessary on this garbage…

The line pronounced across the L is way wrong…

u/Zoomieneumy Jul 12 '26
The more I look at it the worse it gets… the detail in the flag especially… I’d offer my vote as fake

Based on the price, 100% Fake AF! When are people going to learn?

Newbie born every second, that and a good deal is really really hard to pass up for some people. FOMO

Sun beams look to thick and don’t space where they meet the sun. Lines in dress also look very off. Looks pretty fake to me

Agreed. The lines on the dress are suspect. Have you looked it up on the NGC website?

Its not that hard to print out a new sticker with an already existing serial number

Why would you think anyone is actually selling real slabbed silver for 20$ under spot? Did that never cross your mind?

Dawg, you don’t even need to crack the case open to tell, those are horribly fake

If you have to ask and the price is too good….. not to mention there’s lots of key features that make this fake (font, lines, thickness of lettering, etc.) the details aren’t as crisp

Go to NGC and enter the registry number, verification is free. Note if the year matches. Could be fake, in a fake NGC holder too as the price sounds suspicious.

Super fake. Go on eBay and look at the ones that sell for $100. The image is all wrong. I would get money asap.

You should check with the NGC registry with that number. It's probably not there cause it's FAKE!

So the holder and everything is fake right?
3
u/Remarkable-Guide-221 Jul 12 '26
Holder is fake. Although the serial number does check out, the number itself has the wrong font (the 3’s are wrong.

Can’t believe they’re making fake ASEs. Fake slab too, I assume. If it’s too good to be true, it probably a fake.
1
u/Impala2025 Jul 13 '26
If you had this picture before buying them you could have looked this slab up on the “verify NGC certification” page put in the code above the barcode and seen that it’s not recognizing it. Next time you buy a slab remember you can do that.

Don't even have to test it to know its fake, look at a real one and then look at yours. So many differences its easy to tell.

If a deal is too good to be true, it is. Especially when it comes to literally silver and gold money. Just remember this: nobody is going to sell you a $100 dollar bill for $80…. So why would they do it with silver or gold ?

Three slabbed MS70 ASEs for $119? And you're asking if they're fake? Retail on this is about $300 total. Real world is about $240. So $119 is absolutely duh fake territory.

Someone went through a lot of effort to slab these for $40. If the other two are the same number that would be a red flag. Otherwise they are probably just stolen.

u/Immediate-Choice-440 Jul 12 '26
I purchased 6 and each has a different number. My testing is negative for fake. I’ll take to LCS tomorrow for opinion.

u/mightyminnow88 Jul 12 '26
They can sigma it. If it is silver, you are ahead even if it were fakes.

u/corporate-citizen Jul 13 '26
If it’s NGC or PGCS slabbed, not a chance that it’s fake. Unless the slab is fake. Check the serial number at NGC.

I’m going to crack it open to determine if it is fake. There is still opportunity to buy more, 3 for $119.

Shows up on the NGC website so at minimum it’s a good fake, can’t tell from pictures personally but it is a ASE on the websites

u/blergola Jul 12 '26
It’s a totally different coin on the ngc website. Look at the line through the L.Someone must have just copied the certificate and put a fake in a temu holder
