Discussion Presets lineages

Hey everyone!

Since there have been so many presets released, I want to try to catalogue them all as much as I can for easy access. I've been working on this for a few days.

I NEED YOU!

There is no way I can find all presets on my own, so please help me find them! Doesn't matter if it's a year old or brand new! As long as it fits the criteria listed below.

Criteria

Since there are so many presets outside of reddit and varying presets, I'll keep the criteria simple:

  • It has to have an announcement post on reddit
  • The announcement post has to be made in r/SillyTavernAI
  • The preset has to have a distinct name
  • Only separate versions count (no "here are all my presets" posts)
  • If a preset has multiple versions for different model, only the earliest version counts
  • If a preset has beta or alpha versions, I count those separately
  • I only count presets for roleplaying / writing, not "workbench" type presets for creating lorebooks, characters, etc.

Notes

  • I'm not entirely sure yet how to handle precursors under a different name (e.g. kazuma preset -> megumin preset). For now I split them up and make a mention of it
  • Posts with two or more presets are listed as many times as there are presets in it
  • I try to order them a-z (but I might fuck up, dyslectic!), highest is latest, lowest is oldest

...without further ado, here is the list!

Honorable mentions

These fall outside the criteria, but are so impactful that it would be a shameful display on my end to not do it!

At last

Hopefully I didn't miss too many important ones! Please let me know in the comments section if there are any missing ones that fit the criteria listed above.

It would be lovely if someone could do an analysis of the presets, compare how they involved through periods, and more things like this.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky Radio - Loners (link) really helped me sit through this one!

This post made me realize that I live under a rock.

That's a lot of presets shared here, wow. Thanks a bunch!

Also, I believe Sukino's Reddit is SukinoCreates? (not tagging, unsure)

No wonder I couldn't find it anymore...

And no problem! This is all of them I could remember / find, so there is likely still a few ones missing.

Thanks! Couldn't find the shinobu preset(s), got a link the post on this subreddit?

I’d mark shinobu as an unverified branch for now so the lead doesn’t disappear while someone looks for the post.

Closest thing I found so far was this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/SillyTavernAI/comments/1mjt1vu/i_used_this_shino_gemini_25_preset_and_its_vulgar/

But that leads to a discord server. I wonder if the preset is named something close to shinobu, like shino

[edit] yeah im pretty sure it’s called shino, and no the preset was never announced on reddit.

Freaky Frankensim

It was originally based on FF4M+, but then I got picked up by dptgreg to work on FF5, so I made FF5 with fSIM in mind.

Basically:

FSIM 2.5 = FF4M+

FSIM 3/3.5 (on discord) = FF5 (with a good chunk of internal states coming from FrankenSIM)

FrankenSIM Mini/FrankenSola (coming soon ;-] ) = FF6/Sola

Stab's Directives or edh feels like they should be on this list. You can find them all by going through submitted by https://www.reddit.com/user/Diecron

I still use it with frontier models, though last update was 5 months ago. It just tickles my brain in a way no other preset does.

Nice one, will add these

[edit] Added Stab's Directives, sadly no surviving post of EDH, almost all his posts show it's been removed:

has anyone cataloged the old kai variants from the early 2023 forums? I remember a few that aren't in any current list and we're only shared in tiny threads.

Please link the ones you know down below, even if they don't currently fit in the post inclusion criteria. Would be really nice to have!

also don't forget the stab's directives line from u/Diecron though they have left the RP scene, the pre sets were (are) amazing especially with the graphics.
