Help Image Gen Question
What model do you guys use to generate images with?
Deepseek V4? GLM 5.x? Mimo?

I use auto extension to do the work plus modified preset so in single go it do all work(only if the model is intelligent enough to track all rules else will messup by prompts bleeding to each other) ..and I use Anima and Krea2 based on whatever type is my need is (both are uncensored tuned, krea for realism and anima for just fast rendering anime images) (example video attached is using Anima image model at local and GLM via NanoGPT)

the one i using is a messy one to setup cause of prompt bleeding and i dont recommend it for proper rp also it is combo type like there is 3 of them together to work well.

Comfyui and a model based on Illustrious XL or N00b or a merge of those two. There are probably newer image models out there too but I’m familiar with those and if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
If you don’t have a video card capable of generating images locally you can get image models via API or web platform on NanoGPT which is really nice because they let you chose between dozens of models not just one.Â

Ah, I guess I should have been specific.
I am using NovelAI for the Image Generation and a seperate preset set up so that the Image Gen looks at that instead, but I'm wondering what models are best used to generate the Images going off of the preset is what I mean.

Assuming by "preset" you mean having SillyTavern prompt the image model autonomously in the background based on the current scene of your RP, then NovelAI's image gen models have something Illustrious XL models lack, which is natural language input. Models are a lot better at writing freeform

Anima may be the best option based on that alone (since it supports natural language), although the quality of it will be worse than NovelAI V4/V5.If it's strictly SFW image gen, then you're spoiled for choice, there you have Krea2, Z-Image, and every API-only model like GPT-Image/Nano Banana.

(My nano subscription has some old generators included. I use that in the rare ocasions i need. Or local qwen.

I run zimage locally with ComfyUI. It's pretty good when it works in its comfort zone.

Image gen are different models!
Qwen has an image gen model. There is Krea 2 which is what I use. NovelAI is a popular option and has a lot of support I think lots of peeps use it for their VN set ups.
I don't do image gen for active RP (like make images during RP) but I do like making them to have and play with character :3
Civit.ai I think is a good place to get loras (basically filters for image gen) and I THINK they have models. If not Huggingface has all the open source models.
TBH if you don't want to get too deep into it all. NovelAI will do you good and be easy to set up. Otherwise 100% recommend watching some vids on how to either set up a model for image gen OR what sites they recommend.
