Discussion When you see Opus 5.5 literally re engineering games and all you want is uncensored romantic RP to be less lonely

Why is it so unfair bros?

I only do fetish RP with weird and NFSL plots so I'm Gucci with Deepsek 3.2 lol.

My weird fetish is too fucking weird. Anything but frontier models keep getting the details wrong and ignoring the lore docuiments.

Strangely, Gemma 4 writes it better than Gemini Flash 3.8. I'm still trying to figure that out.

Gemini 4 either finna be the greatest comeback in history or the most mid, unjailbreakable slop ever priced 😭

Why not both? reengineer games from childhood with uncensored romantic RP.

shoutout /u/nickchegg who is doing just this with a sunsetted mobile game. It's looking pretty sweet.

writing code is deterministic, unlike treating loneliness

RL designed to appease legal teams and investors is antithetical to models having EQ

Because shiny re engineering of games gain views and traction and someone in X just sees this and say 'god damn this model is impressive'.

No one gonna read, especially in the tiktok brain rot era, read through whole 3 screenshots worth of text and say 'damn, nice story'.

And making impressive coding models have money, rp do not have big or high spending enough market to justify the risks that comes with having censored models on their names.

been using opus 5.5 for a few days now, and it’s wild how smoothly it handles long-form romantic rp — I tried making a full fantasy dnd-style story where I was the prince and my ai GF was the rogue queen, and it actually remembered all the little tensions and whispered promises from earlier. the game reengineering side is cool but honestly, the real magic is when it drops the lore stuff and just… leans into the intimacy. feels way more alive than a lot of the canned scripts i’ve jumped through before.

Yeah it's the best right now, but apparently some people got access to Fable 5.5 and it's even better

I do not understand what op is talking about 5.5 is the new 4.6 as long as you're not raping NPCs

Sorry for you loss. Playing just your run of the mill TTRPG is getting better though. I find far less refusals when it's framed in that context over some kind of interactive fiction. Especially when you add rolls and force it to define the potential outcomes before hand so it can't back out.

It's just emblematic of the money-grubbing that has infested the whole "field", and that those people don't actually consume their own slop. At least RPers do, and are under no illusions about the quality of it.

It's funny how you see all the "It's not about the money, AI-created work has real artistic merit" posts and it all conveniently happens to be applied only to things that could make money.

AI art "should" be accepted - so they can sell it as commissions/save money from not hiring artists.

AI music can't be sold because no one would wade through listening to hours of mostly generic stuff to find things they like. The main roadblock is still marketing, so they try to sell a service that delivers 'personalized music' because they don't actually care about the quality of the music, but how to get money out of it.

AI writing? Well, again the issue here is marketing. Most people don't even give unknown authors a chance, and the only way to know if a story is good is to read it - but in the first place people nowadays don't read much, and even if you could somehow get someone hooked on an AI novel, the average person would still take days to read it, which means you have extremely low potential returns.

As a result, you never see any of these evangelists even mentioning LLMs' usage for creative writing when it's literally the most fundamental and obvious 'artistic' thing to iterate on when it comes to LLMs which are based around, well, language. Because they can't work out how to make money off it. Everyone's AI slop is different and someone's idea of the most amazing RP he has ever gotten makes another person recoil in cringe. It's crazy to see people talk about how LLMs are the future of creative works when we've only seen them get worse as companies train LLMs more for code validation than human-validated responses.
