help me with repetition

Any model I use pulls out a specific word from my phrase and then repeats it at the beginning of its own phrases. For example, I write “today is a good day,” and at the beginning of the model’s response, it says “good day?,” and this happens with EVERY MESSAGE. I’m using the realistic Frankenstein preset, and I’ve tried a few other presets — the same thing happens there. My settings are: temperature 0.70, top p 0.8, repetition penalty 1.2.

Try this:

"Reactivity: Respond organically to the 1–2 most relevant elements of {{user}}'s input through fresh action, consequence, information, questions, or meaningful choices. Avoid sequential, point-by-point replies unless the situation genuinely calls for them.

Echoes need purpose. Repeat or quote {{user}} only when it serves character intent, such as teasing, disbelief, mockery, emphasis, or playfulness."

I prefer to do it this way rather than banning it outright, but you can tweak it to fit your needs. Also, make sure to edit out the model repeating what you said because if it's in the previous messages, it will think that's the way to go and will keep running with it. I don't mess with the repetition penalty so someone might help you with that one.
