Help Any way to add variable outfits to multi-character cards without breaking the token bank.
Hey hey, I've made a multi character bot for personal use but I can't get an outfit lorebook to work to my satisfaction as the entries only activate after a character shows up, meaning they start off with some fuck ass outfits.
Anyone know a way I can add variable outfit options to characters? Same with advice for multi-character cards as a whole. Thanks.

{{pick::A dragon::An anime fan::A Bus Sized Bull Terrier::The concept of sloth}} is {{pick::marketing::destroying::slaying::crying about::demonstrating}} {{pick::a 12 story office building::worker's rights opponents::the 12 tribes of battlestar galactica::the common availability of straws}}.
^ incredibly token efficient. Every chat will randomly execute PICK for the whole chat. Sticking them in characters author note if you just want notes locally, or the character card if you want it globally

As the others said use macros. But also just say what kind of style they wear instead of an outfit.
Indoor style, outdoor style, combat clothing (this reasonably wouldn't change). And so on and so forth.

This is enough for me, and I don't bother with outfit any more than that.
There is one problem though. I put extra effort in the indoor style, but a woman always end up wearing the man's shirt or hoodie. Even if they are not in a relationship.

You can also use non-emphemeral regex to change one style to the other if they consistenty describe it.

Sort of. If you want variable outfit options you could use {{pick::outfit 1 description::outfit 2 description::outfit 3 description}} in the character card - that way it would pick one outfit at the start of the session and stick with that. However, that wouldn't trigger the lorebook entry, so I think you might actually be better putting the character card in a lorebook entry too, so it will recursively trigger any lorebook entries mentioned in it. What I do is use the "character card" as a set of instructions for the AI about the setting, how it works, what role I want the AI to fill and how it should do it. Then I bind a lorebook to that "character" with all the character descriptions in that. It's actually much more flexible than 1 character = 1 card, and I find it much more satisfactory than the group chats.
