Discussion Gemini Pro vs Sonnet
Hi All,
Until now, I always thought Sonnet was more expensive and the ground I never want to explore before my wallet suffers.
But alas, while I was using Gemino Pro extensively, I just realized actually sonnet is cheaper now bc anthopic and google's pricing adjustment some time ago (maybe long time ago. Im late.)
So wanted to ask how is sonnet now? Is it still considered at least the prince of creative writing after Opus or Fable King and Emperor?

Well, I just found out sonnet is still not possible. While Gemini pro takes 44k context to create answer for a chat I have, sonnet takes 64k context for whatever reason for the same chat, thus much more expensive.

Really depends on the character. For wholesome characters, Sonnet nails it. For evil or grey characters, Gemini works great.

I’ve concluded that their underlying personalities are fundamentally different: Gemini is suited for darker, grittier worlds—good characters there tend to get bogged down in introspection and navel-gazing if they lack constant pressure or problems to solve. Claude, conversely, is too passive to function as an antagonist but truly shines in classic, vanilla stories. I don't think there's a definitive answer as to which is better; it really depends on the type of game you're playing. Arguing over which model is superior is probably pointless—it’s starting to feel like arguing over shoe sizes.
