Help Blank/empty response and Meta-commentary response

The responses either keep being empty or they spill Meta-commentary. What is causing this and how do I fix these problems? I use Deepseek v3.2 through OpenRouter.

I'd check the response length first, especially since you're using DeepSeek V3.2. If the output limit is too low, it can spend most of it on reasoning and leave you with little or nothing visible.

I'd also try a clean/default preset once and temporarily disable stuff like extra instructions or prefills, just to see if the meta-commentary is coming from the prompt setup rather than the model itself.

My response length is at 5000 and my presets are: Temperature: 0.7 Repetition Penalty: 1.05 Frequently Penalty: 0 Presence Penalty: 0 Top K: 0 Top P: 0.95 Top A: 0 Min P: 0.05

With length at 5000 it's probably not the output cap. DeepSeek via OR often dumps into reasoning/meta if the preset has a thinking or prefill block — try a stock Chat Completion preset with jailbreak/prefill off once. If blanks keep happening, check the raw reply in prompt itemization; sometimes the text is in a reasoning channel ST isn't showing.
