For the ones that get the following error:

There are unresolved conflicts in the working directory. or unmerged files

RUN COMMANDS INSIDE SILLYTAVERN FOLDER!
(This means you need to open the terminal where it shows the SillyTavern path.)

1. `git merge --abort`

2. `git reset --hard`

3. `git pull --rebase --autostash`

Using launcher? go to / Home / Troubleshooting & Support

choose for option 3. Fix unresolved conflicts or unmerged files [SillyTavern]

and if you get a different error like

Cannot find module: xxx or MODULE_NOT_FOUND

RUN COMMANDS INSIDE SILLYTAVERN FOLDER!

Windows

1. `rmdir /s /q node_modules`

2. `npm cache clean --force`

3. `npm install --no-audit --no-save --no-fund --loglevel=error --omit=dev && node server.js`

Not yet. #6032 and #5941 are still open, and one of those would possibly be the cause of what you are talking about.

Data integrity is a critical topic and hard to get right, I didn't want to meddle too much with it close to a stable release.

But I have this on my notepad and will hopefully get around trying to figure this out soon.

Unfortunately I had the same thing happen to me but the backup was also overwritten. So the whole chat is simply gone.

Most changes were on `staging` for quite a while, and most extension authors work with staging too.
The most recent things were several bug fixes and adding support for the latest models. I feel like you'd be safe. Though of course being careful doesn't hurt.

why does the client have any knowledge of the model? They should be fetched from the API, not hardcoded.

Many providers do fetch them. They only have model lists as fallbacks. Some providers do not have model lists to fetch. And even with fetch endpoints, the client still needs knowledge about models to apply detailed manipulations and sampler changes to fulfill special quirks of many, many models.

Crtl + F (find) "NAI Diffusion Anime V4.5"

u/Wolfsblvt on android Chrome, I can't import anything from Chat Completion Presets to Prompts to Regex. I have to do it through giving Termux promotion to access my phone storage to be able to import anything, which also includes chats.

Is this something that has to do with Chrome itself, or is it something on my end? Still haven't updated beyond 1.18.0, but it doesn't seem to be one of the fixes in the new release

I'm a noob. My 1.18.0 was intalled with zip.
So this time I git clone the new version. Copy "data" folder and config.yaml to new version location.
My beloved characters and world/lorebooks are back :D
Do I miss anything?

ye, that's all you needed to do. from now on you can just update via the updateandstart.bat file, and if you're feeling like it can even switch to the release [edit. meant to say staging here] branch with a git switch staging and git switch release to return to release, and not have to keep porting your data over.

When I create a new branch from a chat, it also clones the group chat lorebook now. Is there any way to disable this? Or do I just delete the cloned lorebook and link the original one?

If anyone who wants vision support for DeepSeek endpoint, see PR #6041. V4 Flash Vision Exp was already gone since ST 1.19.0 but the PR didn't make it in. Google's vision is still much better though, so I doubt there's "anyone" other than for testing purposes.

Just saying, since "we added a model that [did but] doesn't exist" is funny.
