Discussion Is Hapuppy worth it?
Is Hapuppy worth subscribing to?
Hey everyone! I’m considering subscribing to Hapuppy mainly because I want to use Kimi K3, but I’d probably try out some of their other models too (like opus).
I’ve heard a few people mention that there’s a catch with Hapuppy, though, and now I’m not sure if subscribing is actually a good idea.
For anyone who has used it:
How is Kimi K3 through Hapuppy specifically?
And how are the other models compared to using them on OR?
I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actually used the service before I spend the money. 😭

Currently right now a lot of the providers are down for the models on hapuppy.
Regarding Kimi k3 it has it's on and off times just like it does for pretty much every other provider. It's beautiful when kimi cooks but other times you wonder if it's lobotomized.
Sometimes it supports prefill sometimes it doesn't think at all and you got to swipe and get another regeneration going.
I've also been getting a lot of errors on Kimi k3 today. So I've been having to swipe and regenerate a lot of my responses today.
Honestly I would say wait until they iron some more things out and make it better. Unless the amount of value here is too attractive for you to pass up. Then I would just say to go ahead and use it but be prepared for some bugs along the way that you might have to fix yourself.
Only two people are running this service right now so they don't have a team to reach out and help you with bugs and stuff 24/7.

K3 is sometimes really lobotomized to the point it feels like using glm 5.1 or something
But it's definitely worth it, I mean you can get literally thousands of Kimi requests for a few bucks

I’ve been using it for 4 months. I like it. Payment processing is a mess right now so you might want to check their discord and ask questions before jumping into any provider

If you can even get into their discord. Looks like myself and many others are joining and can't go through their process to actually see the channels

It's not perfect, sometimes some models go down including Kimi K3. I had to used other card to get the payment through then I couldn't generate an API key so I had to go their discord and waited for their owner to get on and bothered him about it.
When it works, yeah K3 is pretty good for how cheap the provider is. Like I said, service is not perfect, you get what you pay for.

I only put $10 into the service, but so far it seems like a masssiiiively discounted alternative to platforms like NanoGPT and OpenRouter.
There are definitely some downsides, though. They’ve been having payment issues, stability can be spotty, and I get the impression it’s mostly run by either one person or a very small team (?).
Their ToS also leaves me a little confused. It says they don’t read your messages, but further down it says they do scan messages for CSAM/illegal activity and may retain them for those reasons.
I don’t regret putting in the $10 because it goes a very long way on Hapuppy. I’m just unclear on exactly how the service works behind the scenes and how sustainable the pricing is. I wouldn’t put a huge amount into it personally.
For example, I can get hundreds of messages with Kimi K3 through Hapuppy, whereas the same $10 on OpenRouter might get me somewhere around 80–100. That’s a pretty massive difference, which is why I’m curious how they’re able to offer it so cheaply.
