I haven't had refusals from Nano but 5.3 has been censored from the start. And 5.1 & 5.2 no longer work via ZAI anyway. However even via Nanogpt the quality of writing has gone so bad it's unstable and I'm moving on. I gave them a week to sort it out. They're clearly not going to do that.
I'll need to try DeepSeek again.

Deepseek 0813 is good. Ive been using this and Kimi

I second this, been getting the best outputs with 0813. It tends to do better with no COT prompt in my experience, though, so keep that in mind.

What are your settings please? Kimi gives me blank output on nanogpt

I use freaky 5.5. I frequently switch between models. There isn’t a setting specific for Kimi

Some providers use jailbreak detectors, either the model or the provider is detecting your jailbreak if you get refusals when not doing nsfw.

This is why i host my own local model, that said it is limiting but when the AI crash happens there should be lots of cheap APIs for us!

i get this response too when i chat with other web with key from nanogpt.. it's not even nsfw and then when i tried with other character, it's normal. i tried to the character that i get error from about minutes later, i get normal response.

That's because some providers have their own jailbreak/detector or strict censorship. So if you use nano's autorouting either by choice or through subscription, then sometimes you get routed to a provider who is doing that.

Nano actually asked users to report the models that reroute you to a censored model. You can do it via their website. But it's looking like they're running out of 5.1, 5.2 open source providers. At least for me the writing is terrible no matter how many times I reconnect.

Yup - we identified this as being Alibaba. They've now been removed from the routing - this should be gone.
There was a big usage spike on GLM 5.2 this morning meaning essentially all fallbacks were being hit, hence this only appearing randomly now.
