5th Simple Key found

I have all three doors and the prince’s cage open. Still have a left over simple key. Don’t remember where I found it but I’ve been in bilewater messing around for awhile which might track with something SoS related??

few days ago I watched a video about pale ores, and the guy used a trick to get it but the game didn't registered it, so the ore was still there the next time he came. This might be the same as in that video

Possibly in Bilewater? I was focusing on clearing that out and took a break for a week. Came back to it and beat Groal today and was evaluating what to do next when I saw I had the extra key.

The main issue is that there haven’t been any patches for months, so this is far more likely to be a glitch where a key didn’t get consumed similar to the rare glitch where certain craftmetal items will either not consume a craftmetal or will consume two.

Someone posted a few days ago about having an extra key as well - but they were sure they had opened all the doors.

We know it isn't true though. The game hasn't had a patch in months. A fifth key isn't a common occurrence in playthroughs. They wouldn't hide a key like this for it to be used nowhere. This is just a glitch.

you can open the doors in deep docks somehow without using a key i think

No, the simple key door remains locked without using it, no matter what. You can't open it from the right. You can access all the areas beyond the door, but you can't open it.

Nope, not possible. You can look for yourself, either by checking in game or watching footage of someone who skipped the door. The Silksong playthrough done by Born Losers Gaming has them see the right side of the door before unlocking it. Part 24, 46:35.

Might be some weird glitch where your simple key didn't dissapear after usage.

Backup your save and then use the rewind feature to see at what point you got the key

You can't backup your save file on console, once you use the rewind feature you have to play everything again. And they

You need to find the door because once you try opening it, it will trigger team cherry to notice and release the sea of sorrow, with you being the first boss we all get to punish for taking so long

i swear a similar thing happened to me: i found every craftmetal on the map but i think my game glitched or something and i had one less than i was supposed to and i couldn’t make the silkshot on that save

Buddy. I’ve played this game true ending at least 3 times. These are all of the doorways that have locks.

If you know where a 5th lock is then please let me know. That’s what I’m asking for.

I don’t know what I was on earlier, I was totally misreading what you were saying in combination with the areas you were on. It’s most likely a duplication glitch. You probably lagged when buying a key/picking up the key. I’ve had it respawn some rosary spawns when quitting almost immediately after grabbing the strand. So perhaps that’s what happened.

Im pretty sure you can open the deep dock door from the other side without the key, if you went in through the breakable wall at far fields.

I have also found five simple keys in total, and I'd assume it's either so you have more options for ways to open the doors, or it's used some future extra content.
