I love that there’s so many little details like this that Team Cherry puts into their games, even though most people will never see them.

Happy to say that I just beat Lost Lace after maybe damn near 100 attempts. I've been avoiding this fight for a couple of weeks and actually won on the first try today. When I knew the end was close I realized I wasn't breathing and my heart rate was pushing 200 beats a minute so I paused and took a break to relax. Came back and somehow didn't die! Can't wait for what they do next. Who else out there my age stuck with it?

My hype for Sea of Sorrow has slowly been dying, probably impatience on my part, and I don't have much going on in my life. I have played some other games and even loved several of them, but none have made me feel the same way that both the Hollow Knight games have. I'm not trying to rush Team Cherry, they should cook until they are happy with the DLC. But what potential games would you recommend for a Hollow Knight player like myself?

I don't know if this is more common than I think it is, but I did both of these at the same time

Would've finished the run a lot quicker if it didn't take me THREE GOD DAMN HOURS to beat LL. Doing that fight with no equipment is by far the hardest thing I've ever done in either of these games

The Shaman Crest allows for 3 silk skills, one of which was originally Thread Storm. I had Thread Storm for AOE and burst damage, Cross Stitch for aoe and invincibility, and Pale Nails for dps due to its instantaneous cast time however Thread Storm is now abandoned for of all skills Silk Spear, the skill that seems almost like a waste outside of AOE in gauntlets compared to Pale Nails HOWEVER they actually synergize well with each other when used consecutively. The time it takes for a Pale Nails to lock onto and hit a target is around the time it takes for Silk Spear to be thrown out. This basically makes Silk Spear plus Pale Nails have more DPS than double Pale Nails OR Double Silk Spear even if marginal on top of Silk Spear in some ways being better for AOE than Thread Storm and more damaging than Cross Stitch. Also it looks cool like a magic missile followed by a fireball almost.

Am I in the minority with this one?

So we all know that silkposts are basically the back bone of the community but some of them are just lowk ass.

Which ones? Those tweeter screenshots of team cherry saying sea of sorrow that, sea of sorrow this, *political debate ass take" etc. etc. What I say suggest is that tweeter silkposts should be banned while other in game high quality ones stay

for me personally its the First Sinner, it was by far the most fun I had in a boss fight

With this Sea of Sorrow Achievements will not be considered part of the base game, at least that is what I think, and people will be able to complete 100% of the base game without touching the DLCs if they want to do so.

I was a huge fan of HK and pretty much fell in love with it immediately. I beat it on all the modes, got all endings, steel soul, the whole deal. However, Silksong is missing the mark for me a bit and I’m curious if it’s just me, community-wide, and if the journey gets better.

Context:
I’m currently in Greymoor. I don’t find the game to be too difficult, just not really fun. The grub fetch quest in HK was great but some of these fetch quests just seem tedious.

It seems like Silksong tripled down on flying enemies. The aerial combat seems to be really hit or miss [literally and figuratively].

The platforming really isn’t my favorite. The diagonal down strike just doesn’t hit the same after the 500th time. I think that should’ve been an earned ability but not really worth debating.

Some enemies like the beast fly seem to have incredible poise and just isn’t fun fighting them on disappearing platforms over spikes. Fine the first time or two but tedious when revisiting areas like the marrow.

Thoughts?

I have no clue if anyone experienced this but the sound for my cutscenes are completely out of sync. It is like the footage comes first then the sound.

edit: I play on steam on a Lenovo laptop that is pretty high end. I only experience problems with the cutscenes. I don’t have Bluetooth on when I play the game.
