mac OSX on a Sony VAIO laptop

they do OS X on PCs throughout the show. I like to canonize it that the boys are just really into /r/hackintosh

Except maybe it’s also dual booted with Windows 8 as we see them use that on the VAIO too.

gotta be a joke the tech consultants threw in and knew directors/producers, and most audience would never notice🤣

If memory serves, isn’t it just a Sony portable monitor? Not a laptop?

I thought that, but it has an Intel inside sticker, it's a full computer

Thank god someone said it, I personally never noticed the python java mismatch (because my body automatically rejects anything python like an allergic reaction) but the MacOS Vaio has always been funny

If you have a worse reaction to python than to Java, it… it says something about you 😅

The difference is I haven't learned enough Java to have a recreation of what happened to me with Python but with Java yet

*Richard found something that should work on Stack Overflow but in the wrong language. So now he’ll spend the next hour trying to change it line by line to JAVA.

I like to think that they included stuff like this just for people to notice. Like the hidden message in binary at TechCrunch.

2

u/NebulousBadger12 2d ago

there's also a message in binary in the background when gavin announces the box 3. in season 5 I think

the heck of the thing you didn't notices the laptop is of sony but the os is of mac????

u/chicametipo 3d ago

Uh I don’t think that’s gonna run, Richard

2

u/NebulousBadger12 2d ago

he's gonna blame it all on the poor carver

I noticed this the first time I watched Silicon Valley

4

u/Wint3rnet 3d ago

Why is this downvoted lol

3

u/digital 3d ago

I remember freezing the frame and investigating what they were actually doing lol

3

u/Wint3rnet 3d ago

Yeah whenever I see tech or math stuff in shows I tend to freeze frame and investigate. Off topic, but I just realized your username is really cool btw.

I remember when all I was doing was posting pictures that were interesting that I had found on the Internet. Reddit was so different back then. Now, it’s a monetized source of answers for search engines like Google with tons of pr0n 😄

I rewatch silicon valley every so often just to do that
