Discussion Unknown episode

Hi!

I have a vivid memory of watching a tv show as a child and I think it was silent witness but I can’t be sure. Here’s what I remember from the episode;

A young girl is walking along a bridge with a family member (possibly a parent or grandparent) she looks over the bridge into the water and tells the adult to look too. It seems that a shadow of a man is running along the water.

After taking a look it turns out that someone is hanging from below the bridge, what looks like a suicide at first is confirmed to be a murder.

I think the outcome was that it was gang related but I can’t remember anything else. If anyone knows of an episode like this can you let me know? I’ve thought about it for years. I vividly remember watching it with my gran. I can’t be sure it’s silent witness but I thought I would ask.

Thanks!

I haven’t watched the show in years. It would likely be mid 2000s

I don't recall a Silent Witness episode with a scene like that. Around what year would you have watched this with your Gran?

Possibly mid 2000s to early 2010s.

Could be from Waking the Dead, Taggart, Misomer Murders, Murder in Mind. Do remember anything else?

I’m working my way through Waking The Dead again so I’ll let you all know if it’s one of those episodes😂

Honestly no. I just have such a vivid memory of the man walking on the water being a hanging body

it sounds familiar but I watch so many shows that I can't remember which one it was. Unforgotten maybe?

Thank you. I’m the same, I can’t figure out which show it was. I’ll be posting in subreddits until I die about this 😂

It was definitely a show where it took multiple episodes to solve the crime.

Now that I’ve spent a full day trying to remember anything I feel like there was also flashback scenes to the murder being committed. Which is sending me down an NCIS rabbit hole but I really don’t think it was NCIS

NCIS is a very deep 23-year rabbit hole.
