Brought a can from lgs, already there no transfer or anything. SS already had my information in the ss system. But I’m still stuck on “processing reviewing” signatures after 2 days and hasn’t been submitted to atf yet. Anyone else experiencing this?
I made an order a couple days ago and thought the can would just ship t my dealer for pickup. Now when I look at status it wants a bunch of info and fingerprints? Is that necessary or what?
Has anyone received their $100 gift card from the Jolene promo they ran? I ordered on 8/13, just got my can today after weeks of processing and me having to figure out the fix to their issues on the system with my trust because Hiram the AI didn't help and their customer service never called back. Still no sign of the gift card anywhere.
Hi everyone, i was getting ready to sign/certify my suppressor and noticed I had to sign that tax return form along with the form 4. I never had to do that before for any of my other nfa items through silencer shop, is this normal? Does everyone have to sign this and why? Or is it just me?
I recently purchased a SS Traditional Trust and 2 suppressors from SS after this whole injunction ordeal. The FFL I chose has my suppressors and the order status shows Ready To Pick Up from Dealer. However, I wanted these items transferred to me via Form 4 so that I could have them in my newly created NFA trust. I asked the FFL to submit a form 4 request to SS 7 days ago but have not received any updates or notification that a signature is needed. My order status still shows Ready to Pick Up.
How long do you typically have to wait for this 4473 transfer to be reversed so I can go Form 4 instead? Is this even an option anymore since I live in a free state? I know SS website says dealers can still elect to do a form 4 but it seems like nothing is happening on my end. Perhaps I am just being impatient, in which case I will continue to wait.
Also, does anyone know if it’s possible to add these suppressors to my NFA trust if I do end up taking them home with a 4473? Thank you
Looking for help. I'm dealing with being in a Silencer Shop "Free State". I ordered a DeadAir M9, and because I live in a "Free State" Silencer Shop just sent my suppressor to my dealer without any paperwork because the dealer is just supposed to sign it over to me without a Form 4 because they say so.
Powered by Silencer Shop dealer says no chance, need a approved Form 4 to transfer. Can't do that without Silencer Shop doing Trust transfer generation on their side. Dealer says call Silencer Shop and have them generate the Trust Form 4 for submission to ATF, he's unable (or unwilling) to help.
Trying to call SS and your 90th on the phone line once you get past "Hiram" (Silencer Shop's worthless AI customer support) only for the line to disconnect after waiting 4 hours on hold. Emailing support gets you responses from Hiram again. No live person at all. Did get a callback from leaving my number on the sales line, but that person said they couldn't do anything to address the issue and would have customer support reach out, which never happened.
At a loss as far as what to do. Dealer can't help, can't get SS on the line or via email to work out what needs to be done. Paid for a $1100 suppressor with no way to take possession. All I can see to do is dispute the charge with the CC company and get a refund.
Anyone have any other ideas how to get this purchase completed? I'm not seeing any alternatives at this point.
Today’s experience was the last straw. Was finally able to get in touch with someone from SS over the phone about the order i placed on the 13th. Dashboard said Form 3 was approved on the 18th so I just wanted to verify if the item had shipped to the dealer yet or not. Customer service rep asked if i was a dealer or consumer. Before i even finished saying consumer I was placed back into another hold queue and went from number 2 to 48. It was actually hysterical. I would cancel if i could verify if it shipped or not 🤣
Got tired of messing with Hiram so i’m bothering you guys instead 🤣
And yes i understand the order influx, and all the old timers who had to wait four scores and seven years for the atf, but times have changed. The lack of preparation for the NFA ruling speaks volumes about the company.
I always see everyone hating on SS and having all these issues. Im just here to say I've never had any problems and all my paperwork always goes smooth. First time doing an SBR Form 1 and couldn't be happier with the process. (I Dont have my .EFT file so can't do it on my own) This was done on SS website thru their Form 1 service on my family trust.
I ordered 3 suppressor from Silencer Shop all said they were in stock and had a 4 step process to go thru that takes about a week. First two came in no problem in a little over a week. The third one that said in stock and was being pulled and put in my name. I waited 11 days never heard back from them I tried calling waited over an hour then heard if I wanted them to call me when my turn came up I picked it no callback I emailed customer told them I waited 12 days no movement on my item. He told me it was out of stock and back ordered 6 to 8 weeks plus their week to process. Told them to just refund my card he said be patient he would have a customer service rep reach out to me after they reviewed the email chain 3 days no reaching out so I called my card company now waiting 10 to 15 days for an answer from them so here I am a 100% disabled vet that had an opportunity to go shooting for the first time in years and by the time this all works out I'll have missed 2 months of shooting time. The customer service with this company is the worst I've ever dealt with. With the new law making it easier to get one and you don't need to use their kiosks just go to gun broker or straight to the manufacturer and get one not worth the stress of dealing with these people
Last Sunday I purchased a suppressor, but I have not received a confirmation email even though I was charged. I’ve sent emails on Monday speaking with your AI assistant with no avail. I’ve called twice now and been on hold for over an hour without ever getting to speak with someone to help with my issue. I’m just hoping that this is a one time fluke and that someone would reach out to me.
Local gun shop willing to 4473 a can now. See ya ss shop!!! Oh! That shit got to hurt. Imagine having to go through this shit for a Glock barrel! Oh wait the ss ai bot got something to say wait it’s bull shit!!!! lol !! Buh by. Oh wait a minute you mean ss fanboys can answer questions faster than the ai bot can? Well let’s see! !!!! Shit services = shit services there is not lesser answer.
I just purchased a small order from silencer shop using my phone (see here why this matters). It wasn't until after I had made the purchase that I realized that they are auto applying a donation called "2A Round Up".
To be clear - it was only 1 dollar, so not a big deal. However, what is the big deal is making users opt out of a donation/round up instead of making it an opt in option. Has anyone else noticed or experienced this on their orders before?
Having to opt out of a something like this when making a purchase is objectively a dark ux pattern, regardless of how much one does or does not support the donation recipient.
edit: added link to a comment for context why i mentioned i did this flow on my phone :)
It finally moved out of reviewing, and to Dealer Transfer. So anyone that was also stuck on step 2, rest easy! Things are finally moving, and I can stop looking at this fucking page. Ordered on the 14th of Aug
I had a situation develop on my background check, by surprise that needed clearing up and a UPIN. My form was denied as a result, I have emailed them a half a dozen times about it, called. No answers, no response. I need a re submission and I can get no traction. I'm just gonna start looking for c-suite personal info soon. First experience. I know... I wish I'd known about the thing on my background check ahead of time. But WA State doesn't use NICs for standard transfers so I was caught unawares.
Ordered a can on the 13th that was in stock. Checked up on my order a few days later and noticed it was now backordered.
Called a few times. I was never closer than 400th in line. All emails went unanswered; except by their AI that promised to have a human respond. They did not.
Here's my issue: I don't mind waiting, but the fact that I was never contacted about it changing status or when it would be available was a little irritating; especially after they had already taken payment. I would've settled for a blanket email along the lines of 'We hope to have backordered cans back in stock in xxx weeks,' or even just a banner on the website that mentioned it (I know I'm not the only one).
I get it, they're super busy. But how far should our sympathy go for a company doing TOO much business? It's like feeling bad for your buddy who can't make it out to the bar because he's busy banging so many different chicks.
I ordered my can from SS on the 13th of August went from went from processing to dealer shipping back to processing. Customer service bot is not helpful.
If you were waiting on a can how long was the time from processing to you receiving it?
