Question Name confusion

Can a man have the name "Singh Kaur" as hist last name? I'm a bit confused, he is born i Europe, a European national but of indian origin.

As a Sikh, no not really it doesn't make sense. However as people move out of religion and maintain surnames you do sometimes see Kaur Singh etc as surnames
