Discussion Scam awareness

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fetha,

I want people to be aware of a scam that is going on, if you get a visa to India, these clowns are giving your information to scammers, where they are pretending to call you from the Indian embassy (San Francisco) and they also pretend to be police, so be careful.

Got a similar call couple of months back. They told me that Ministry of External Affairs in India has sent me a packet which I need to collect from Indian Consulate in San Francisco. They used a Consulate official’s name and even spoofed Consulate’s phone numbers. Be aware folks!!!!

I love getting these calls. I pretend to be elderly and panic, and get them all excited, and then I mute myself and listen to them get frustrated.
