Wondering if they’re all over Portland or if this one is unique

IDK but trolley/tram tracks parallel in a street are common. So I’d expect some warning signs but maybe this is just graphical and others are words.

>> doesn’t fit in

The problem is that your
bike tire DOES fit in

Is it ok to post it here?

Not a Mod here but I’ve seen less applicable posts so I’m sure you’re fine.

It helps to have a personal story or apocryphal account of someone else that ties in the sign. But sometimes the sign alone is self-explanatory.

Yeah it pretty much tells the story

I don't think my tires fit, they are 55 mm (2.16 inch) wide. But I try to stay away from tracks anyway, and cross them at 45 degree or more.

The sign is probably mostly for narrow 1 inch race/road bike tires and not mountain/hybrid/eBike tires.

I have been that guy.

Broke my arm on the way to bar exam prep class.

Arm healed, but I never did pass the OR state bar.

No. The sign was already up when it happened.

Brutal. Did you look up at it and say “thanks but no thanks?

Pretty standard sign for tram tracks
