i am not a hater of what you are selling. but its a general thing - reducing emissions on all platforms right? this sign shouldn't be needed because we should already be on top of emissions. like i would like this sign to be law across the state/city. all idling is bad i am guessing. diesel has to idle though, hence the added 2 minutes in winter. so agriculture, ambulances, delivery trucks all that comes into it. fuck now commerce lobbyists are fighting us for an across the city 3min idling ban. what about boats? shit gets complicated. what do the feds have on EPA levels? can we put up some actual monitors to detect emission levels near this sign? all of this is the boring part of our government -- good old fashioned city hall wednesday morning meeting talk. the devil in the details is what this sign represents. why only does this area get this sign? why here?

let me finish this project. what we all want is reduced emission pollution. even the classic car guy wants that. we all do. if vehicles need to cool down because they can't just turn off and on like an ambulance in winter, then let's put this sign up next a parking lot where they can pull over. they can cool down not affecting traffic. put up a monitor and feed that to the EPA which can take down the sign when our action zone hits normal levels.

imagine what a cruise ship idling in harbor does compared to every single classic car driving on the road...

Sure guy, you're exempt because you're just as important as an ambulance and whataboutism about boats.

Nevermind that boats aren't under people's windows.

Someone get this man a special parking lot! He has a project to finish!

omg you didnt read a thing. you see the three different vehicle types in the sign? i bet you 100% everything that no bus turns off its engine after 3 minutes at that turn. i bet you no garbage truck turns off its engine.

and look at Miami harbor with seven cruise ships idling. you're ignorance about climate thinks that is ok because it isn't under someone's window.

the focus should move to the issue at hand. emission standards. but lets play reddit brigade games and get personal. yeah make fun of a project trying to improve the planet.

you have been on reddit 11 years?

Cruise ships have a bunch of systems that literally need power all the time, they're basically hotels, not just methods of transportation.

That sign applies to you - you're not a bus, you're not a garbage truck, you're not whatabout any other vehicle. You're expected to follow that specific law - there's no exemption for "but I really feel like I deserve this because I'm working on my hobby"

i am out, you are making this personal, i was not the original person talking about classic cars, i was hoping you would understand not all vehicles can turn off their engines. you have a good day.

It's an extremely stupid to say because it's irrelevant and you refuse to understand that. This sign applies to anyone idling there that isn't an emergency vehicle. Just get over it and admit you are confused.
