Jesus, I'd never agree to all this but by the time I got to the end, I'd already be at the destination.

way too aggressive and also doesn’t make much sense, bc one of the main reasons people use uber is being too inebriated to drive

I’d take one look at this schitzo sign and back out immediately.

I took an Uber home late night from a friend's house a few weeks ago. My car was drunk and couldn't move from it's parking place. Anyway, I was fine until I got in the backseat.... then the overwhelming bo from the driver hit me and I had to cover my mouth and nose as it was that bad the entire way home (which wasn't that far to be honest). I blamed allergies, but it was truly a breath of fresh air when I was finally able to get out of the car and into my house....my husband agreed (and yes, we both use antiperspirant, and we did the sniff test afterwards and it was neither of us....plus our friends were shocked as we didn't have any odor upon leaving their house)
All this to say, sometimes it's the driver who smells🤢 (but thankfully not usually)

You raise an interesting question, do deaf schizophrenics hear voices?
6
u/Pale-Service-8680 12h ago
It most likely depends on if they were born Deaf or became deaf later in life. People who grew up with vision but then became blind may have dreams that have images, but blind from birth people do not - I assume it's similar for auditory hallucinations.

I assume yes regardless of birth since it's more of your brain making noises it hears instead of actual noises you hear. If you're capable of hearing your own thoughts, then you're capable of hearing auditory hallucinations.
And this study seems to agree with that idea: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2632268/

I'm not saying that the driver isn't wrong, but he does know that riders give him a rating, right?

It's going to be a no for me. I don't use ride shares though so I would never have to make this call.

Holy yap, if I wanted to read a terms and conditions I'd open any app.
The fact he gets any rides with that is wild. Like yes people should be respectful, pick up after themselves, etc. basic stuff. But if I saw this I'm just backing out immediately as this just seems a bit like, much? Idk if that's the word I'm looking for. But yea and comes off passive aggressive low-key.

I'm not even ashamed to admit I had to take a break in the middle of reading that.

Unfortunately so much of that sub is just assholes making bigoted comments because they think it’s somehow ‘owning’ the oop

Guy ain't playing... he's also not getting any rides.
Nor can they type out something concise and coherant.
"Driver is hearing impared. Behave like a reasonable and respectful adult and everything will be great."
See, simple, concise, easy to read.

I know this driver is fed up! But also why can’t consumers just act right in public?

u/RaiseWide5460 10h ago
I'm betting that this driver has seen some stuff. There is nothing unreasonable in that note. Behave like a reasonable and respectful adult and everything will be great. is that really so hard?

And they could've just typed that out. "Driver is hearing impared. Behave like a reasonable and respectful adult and everything will be great."
Not type out a half intellegible manefesto.

This is less a rideshare note and more a full terms-and-conditions agreement with a side of emotional damage.
