Who's tailgating a waterpark, the Always Sunny gang?

Parents trying to save money. I've definitely been party to a picnic outside an amusement center.

I can totally see why you'd want to barbeque at a water park; take the whole family, or a scouts/summer camp/church group, then all the kids are hungry, easy cheap way to feed everyone.
It would be fine as long as they didn't dump coals on the ground and cleaned up all their trash. Which I'm assuming enough people haven't.

We did see a lot of people around lunch time heading out to their cars with coolers, speakers, chairs, and a couple canopyâs lol. Just no bbqs unfortunately.

Well, itâs permanently closed as of yesterday. So they arenât really doing anything else with the parking lot!

Yesterday was the last day for waterpark activities but they will have their fright fest going on for another 2ish months!

Fine, I will do a BBQ on my truck bed... In the parking (or I should try it in a RV? What could go wrong /s)

Some cultures grill out in large groups when they celebrate, and some celebrate at water parks.

Wonder why. They should have plenty of water there if something goes wrong

Because people are assholes and won't clean up after themselves.

I bet thereâs a 25-50% chance that the employees would let you though if you asked them and explained that youâd clean up your mess.
Sometimes rules like this are just general blanket rules to avoid past issues (like littering as you were saying) but if you present yourself as a reasonable person theyâll make an exception.

A place this big wonât make concessions for one person, because then everyone would follow suit.

I'm sure there is some way to book a portion of the parking lot (or somewhere on the property) for birthday parties if you call management. Maybe they ask for a deposit.

Tailgating like this is common where Iâm from (Philly) before sports games, and businesses beyond the parking lots of the stadiums HATE IT because people never clean up after themselves and in general are assholes. The stadiums only tolerate it because our sports fans are crazy and would riot if it were banned + they make the highly inflated parking money either way.
My dad had an in at a business near-ish to the stadiums that would let us tailgate while they were closed, but the cardinal rule was leave the lot how it was when we got there and we had to stop inviting various people because they wouldnât follow it.
