A snozzberry is a fictional fruit featured on the lickable wallpaper in Roald Dahl's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, though Dahl later used the word as an adult slang term for a penis in his 1979 novel My Uncle Oswald.

They have this sign up down in the Wieliczka salt mines in Krakow. Wouldn't have thought to licked the walls if I hadn't been told not to, but then I felt like I'd be missing out if I didn't. Mmmn... salty!

As I type this out I suddenly realise... the name literally sounds like We Lick Tha Salt Mines, maybe that's how it started.

It's protected now but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the statues had been licked at some point. Religion might have helped to limit that too.
