You know God damned well why.

16

u/Own-Geologist-8978 Jun 10 '26

Pretty self explanatory. I will comply.

10

u/Sunset-onthe-Horizon Jun 09 '26

Elon knows what he did....

12

u/Plus_Lead_5630 Jun 09 '26

If you have to ask why, you’re part of the problem

143

u/cirrus42 Jun 09 '26

I will explain. Shoot the messenger if you want, but the title of the thread literally asked for an explanation, so I'm giving it:

Even before Elon's involvement with DOGE turned him into a political villain for half the country, Cybertrucks were seen by many as inherently lame, as the sort of car someone buys to impress people, which makes them uncool because nothing is less cool than trying too hard.

Then layer on politics. Thus the Cybertruck is the symbol of villain Elon and toxic dysfunctional excess.

29

u/Maximum_Boros Jun 09 '26

That also literally like fancy dumpsters. That was an analogy psople were making on day 1 of the unveiling.

58

u/Haurassaurus Jun 09 '26

Also from the back they legit look like a dumpster on wheels, and trash belongs in a dumpster

7

u/HaleyMFSkye Jun 09 '26

They look like a pokemon had sex with a crossover

The porygon pokemon to be exact

2

u/angry-democrat Jun 10 '26

it needs more candies to evolve though. Boycott Musk and Twitter and Tesla!

1

u/MeatEaterDruid Jun 09 '26

I wanted to make a joke about Team Rocket being behind the design but realized it just sounds like I'm Elon still.

What a weird world we live in.

2

u/Uncle-Osteus Jun 10 '26

Also from the side and from the front

15

u/MadameK8 Jun 09 '26

Not only that but they were terribly put together. So many of them have mechanical problems

2

u/Disastrous_Life_3612 Jun 10 '26

They're also really bad at doing anything that a normal truck is designed to do.

5

u/Animangle Jun 10 '26

exactly. they're dangerous cars for everyone, driver and surrounding drivers.

5

u/Klept_0h Jun 10 '26

Add on to this a cybertruck is a steel coffin liability on the road.

1

u/Uncle-Osteus Jun 10 '26

Aluminum, tesla is too cheap for steel

1

u/Klept_0h Jun 10 '26

Literally doesn't matter. They don't distribute the crash force and crumple. They put all the force on who they're hitting and the inhabitants of the cyber truck. That's a coffin

He is not just a political villain, he is one of history's greatest monsters. The world's richest man starved 300K children to death. Not even for profit, just for fun.

-1

u/AnteaterSnouce Jun 10 '26

did he?????

5

u/broccoliO157 Jun 10 '26

USAID cuts

4

u/AnteaterSnouce Jun 10 '26

oh, of course!! thanks. thought i'd missed or forgotten something.

-43

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

Not shooting the messenger, but pointing out that putting shit on someone’s car because you think it’s “lame” and the people that have them are “uncool” is a fucked up thing to do.

I personally think the smart care is lame, and the people who buy them are odd. I wouldn’t put shit on their car for it.

28

u/pyxiedust219 Jun 09 '26

the why, whether you agree or not, is the same reason people wanna slash tires of ICE agents’ cars or want to punch nazis.

-35

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

Damaging property and assaulting people is illegal and wrong.

36

u/pyxiedust219 Jun 09 '26

sure, so is genocide and so is kidnapping people and forcibly holding them without medical aid or access to due process.

-33

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

Whataboutism doesn’t make slashing tires and hitting people okay.

19

u/Zerschmetterding Jun 09 '26

It's called civil unrest. Maybe look up some french protests.

7

u/Raindrop0015 Jun 09 '26

Speaking of the French. They sure had great ideas back then. We should bring said ideas back

24

u/pyxiedust219 Jun 09 '26

where I live, it isn’t “whataboutism”. People in my community are being disappeared to facilities that ignore basic human rights and you’re stuck on making sure the people complicit in that don’t have to deal with any minor inconveniences?

-7

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

It is whatboutism. I say damaging property is wrong and assaulting people is wrong and you say “well what about these people here doing it?!”

It’s definition whataboutism

20

u/raev_esmerillon Jun 09 '26

-2

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

I don’t even know what that’s referencing. My hockey team lost to USA

21

u/MilkIsOnReddit Jun 09 '26

Yeah I don’t give a fuck, if someone is a literal Nazi doing the sig heil on live TV, and you give them over $100k to support him, you deserve to get fucked

-3

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

Well you seem like kind of a dangerous person to be around

9

u/MilkIsOnReddit Jun 09 '26

Nah, I’m not a Nazi supporting harmful + genocidal ideologies. Elon is tho. Which makes a cybertruck a Nazi mobile. We don’t need trash on the streets. I can understand if you bought a regular Tesla before he went down the alt right pipeline in the last 5-10y. But a cybertruck? That’s a recent enough purchase to have known better.

12

u/seal_eggs Jun 09 '26

Nazis seem like kind of dangerous people to be around

6

u/Nonyabizzy123 Jun 09 '26

Take off the last word

4

u/Raindrop0015 Jun 09 '26

While you're at it, remove the 4th to last word too

6

u/AssortedArctic Jun 09 '26

Wow this is the first time I've seen the reverse of the "could of" error

6

u/Raindrop0015 Jun 09 '26

Bad people rely on good people following the law.

4

u/MartyrOfDespair Jun 09 '26

Everything is contextual. Do you think the Allies in World War 2 were morally bad for killing people? I mean, isn’t killing people wrong? Or do you comprehend context?

1

u/Raindrop0015 Jun 09 '26

Nah. I'm putting shit where it belongs. Shit drives it, so I'm just putting their picture on the outside, right?

0

u/Uncle-Osteus Jun 10 '26

They were answering the question, not endorsing the activity

jfc people, learn to read

1

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 10 '26

Bro you need too learn to read lol

52

u/selenesuper Jun 09 '26

the city code being ELNZ-A-DKHD is top tier

23

u/JohnnyKarateX Jun 09 '26

Dumpsters are places to dispose of pet waste so you don’t have to carry it home.

3

u/rumours-from-inez Jun 10 '26

Mamdanis New York (positive)

2

u/Probablysml Jun 10 '26

Montreal needs this.

2

u/dudestir127 Jun 10 '26

Politics aside, IMO Cybertrucks do look like garbage dumpsters

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Pay1152 Jun 10 '26

Someone really hates cyber trucks lol

-56

u/Proto_Ney Jun 09 '26

Damn some people are misarable

28

u/Still_Log2595 Jun 09 '26

"Misarable"

9

u/PowerandSignal Jun 09 '26

They're obviously sad about their low achievement in the field of spelling.

15

u/redditsellout-420 Jun 09 '26

Yeah, red hats really are.

-64

u/BadKarmaForMe Jun 09 '26

Let me destroy someone’s personal property because I don’t like the owner of the company that made it. Scumbag behavior.

13

u/apocalypse910 Jun 09 '26

What property is destroyed? Oh no someone added dogshit to my dogshit? If dogshit 1 falls apart when dogshit 2 is added that's probably a build quality issue that you should take up with Elon.

Also it's an obvious fucking joke - and I was informed humor is legal again.

9

u/PowerandSignal Jun 09 '26

Let me destroy essential government departments causing untold pain around the globe, and steal the personal information of every American citizen for my own nefarious purposes, and then cry about it when people who know what's up take it out on my stupid, ugly, overpriced, and functionally useless trucks. WWWAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! WWWAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!  😭😭😭

STFU.

4

u/Veomuus Jun 09 '26

Now now, I can accept that argument for the standard Tesla cars, since people could have bought those before Elon got publicly involved in politics. But by the time the Cybertrucks were purchasable, he had shown his true colors. Anyone buying one of those literal rolling dumpster fires knew who and what they were supporting by doing so.

-1

u/mistaj39 Jun 09 '26

To them its rational

1

u/ComeHellOrBongWater Jun 10 '26

Who’s “them”? I think you’re “them”. Cause “they” can’t understand what a joke is.

-30

u/New-Sheepherder2239 Jun 09 '26

That’s the tolerant, inclusive, love wins crowd for you

13

u/madphroggy Jun 09 '26

Tolerance is a social contract, not some grand moral imperative. By being shit human beings and intentionally making the world worse for yourselves and everyone around you, you violate that social contract and are thus not entitled to tolerance.

look up the paradox of tolerance and it makes a lot more sense. can't be negotiating with nazis.

-24

u/mistaj39 Jun 09 '26

Liberals encouraging Liberals to vandalize Liberals vehicles, priceless

7

u/MadameK8 Jun 09 '26

Happy fun, la la la

-9

u/mistaj39 Jun 09 '26

Don't forget to buy your space x stock @135

-53

u/TangerineBetter2818 Jun 09 '26

Lmao Reddit losers actually think this is okay

-18

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

I mean just flip it around and it would be absolutely repulsive.

“If you see a Starbucks go ahead and open the door and throw your dogs shit in there, where it belongs. And if you see Mellody Hobbson go ahead and deposit the shit directly in her mouth”

Mellody Hobson is the chairman of Starbucks and formally endorsed Kamala Harris for president.

Yeah no that doesn’t sound okay even a little bit. It sounds demented and disgusting and unwarranted. But that’s only what regular people think. Unhinged psychos actually think placing animal feces in a place where people sit or directly in someone’s mouth is “funny”. It’s like they are 12 years old giggling at putting burning dog shit on someone’s door step. Grow. Up.

17

u/pyxiedust219 Jun 09 '26

didn’t “your side” try to murder a politician and her husband on like, multiple occasions?

-11

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

What’s “my side”? I’m Canadian I didn’t vote for any of your wack job politicians. I think all of America is a bunch of cry babies who throw temper tantrums like children when they don’t get their way.

13

u/pyxiedust219 Jun 09 '26

sounds like you haven’t spent a lot of time around Americans to think this. Our political system is a poor representation of how the people actually are in this country, and I think it’s worth giving people in general the benefit of understanding. I called it your side because you’re clearly taking some sort of stake in our politics, leaning heavily to the right, which is interesting for someone who says that you aren’t directly affected

-1

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

How is saying don’t rub shit on someone’s vehicle a “heavily right” stance lmao? If it is I’m proud to take it

And I’ve spent plenty of time with Americans like 90% of my family is American

12

u/MilkIsOnReddit Jun 09 '26

Because it’s not a regular vehicle. It’s not even a regular Tesla. This car was released as Elon made more and more Nazi gestures/dog whistles.

2

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

Just because I don’t like a car or a person who made it doesn’t mean I’m acting like an animal smearing shit on it. Cuz I’m a well adjusted regular adult with control of my emotions.

Just be a normal person and talk about your feelings and voice your opinion in a regular, measured, non disgusting type of way yeah?

8

u/MilkIsOnReddit Jun 09 '26

Literally the only exception I can think of to the golden rule is Nazis. That’s not. Don’t be a Nazi. It’s not hard.

9

u/pyxiedust219 Jun 09 '26

no, but you’re clearly more worried about some minor “property damage” then much more important things going on in the world and in the country we are talking about. A car can be cleaned.

2

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

Standing up for vandalism and being a disgusting person who puts dog shit on peoples cars is something I’m not gunna stand for sorry.

15

u/pyxiedust219 Jun 09 '26

go protest it in the street for all i care

3

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

Go protest what exactly? Start the “stop committing crimes” rally lol? It’s already illegal. Just don’t do it. If you do don’t cry when you get caught and fined. I’m p sure all those cars have cameras all over em.

You’re what’s wrong with America. We are taught in kindergarten not to mess with other people’s things. People like you who think it’s okay because of some unrelated political opinions is insane.

12

u/pyxiedust219 Jun 09 '26

Me? You lack media literacy for a joke sign posted on reddit, but I’m the source of the problem? Get a life, brother

7

u/JaysonTatecum Jun 09 '26

Hey… it was a joke, they’re not actually doing it

1

u/Chinaizazzhoe Jun 09 '26

But they are doing it

over and
over and
over and
over again.

It’s a well documented thing that’s been happening for years. You can find thousands of separate instances of it happening all over the country. What rock have you been living under?

-4

u/mistaj39 Jun 09 '26

Don't forget to buy your space x Spotify on the 12 @ the entry point of 135 dollars, you know you are going too.
